How the SACE ATAR works
Your ATAR comes from your SATAC university aggregate: the scaled scores of your best 90 credits - three 20-credit Tertiary Admission Subjects (60 credits) plus a 30-credit flexible option - out of a maximum aggregate of 90, which SATAC converts to a rank against the combined 16-to-20-year-old population of South Australia and the Northern Territory. Scaled scores are out of 20 for 20-credit subjects (10 for 10-credit); SATAC does not publish per-subject scaling, so South Australia has no public subject-scaling table.
