Is Polarbear a replacement for a teacher or tutor?
No. Polarbear is a supplementary study tool. It can help a student practise, organise material and get feedback between classes, but important academic decisions and AI-generated answers should still be checked with trusted teaching material or an educator.
Can Polarbear's AI make mistakes?
Yes. Like any AI system, Polarbear can produce incomplete or inaccurate output. The product is designed to support learning rather than guarantee that every answer is correct, and students should verify high-stakes information.
Does Polarbear currently have a parent dashboard?
No. There is not currently a linked parent dashboard or a way for a parent to read a student's Tutorbear conversations. The learning workspace is accessed through the student's own login.
Can a parent pay for a student's plan?
Paid plans are selected from the student's signed-in Polarbear account and completed through Stripe. A separate parent billing account, family plan and gift workflow are not currently available, so the account holder should review the exact plan, renewal and cancellation terms before purchase.
Is there a free version?
Yes. Students can start with Polarbear's free plan and explore the free study tools on this website. Current paid-plan inclusions and prices are shown inside the Polarbear app before purchase.
Who is Polarbear designed for?
Polarbear is designed primarily for secondary-school students. It offers Australian senior-secondary tools for VCE, HSC, QCE and WACE; availability and subject coverage vary by tool.
Does Polarbear verify a student's age or collect parental consent?
Not currently. Polarbear is designed for secondary-school students, but the platform does not currently verify age or collect parental consent. Parents and students should review the Privacy Policy together before creating an account.
How are card details and student data handled?
Stripe processes payment-card details; Polarbear does not store the full card number. Polarbear collects account, learning-content and usage data to provide and improve the service. AI, cloud, analytics, email and payment providers may process this data, including overseas. Polarbear does not sell or rent personal information. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
How are paid plans managed or cancelled?
The account holder can initiate cancellation in Polarbear's subscription settings and use the Stripe billing portal for billing management. The current price, billing cadence and applicable terms should be reviewed at checkout.
