A-level results day 2026
A-level results are released to students on Thursday 13 August 2026. Schools and colleges get them under embargo the day before (Wednesday 12 August 2026) — that's not a public results date, so don't expect to see your grades then. Dates are from the JCQ June 2026 key-dates schedule.
Results-day timings and Clearing
- 08:00 (UK time) — you can view your UCAS application status (whether your firm/insurance choice confirmed your place).
- 13:00 (UK time) — you can add a Clearing choice in the UCAS Hub (UCAS).
- Clearing is open 2 July 2026 – 19 October 2026 — it starts before results day and stays open well after, so results day is the busiest day but not your only chance (UCAS).
If you think a grade is wrong
For A-levels there's a Priority Review of Marking ("Priority Service 2"), which exists to protect university places. Requests must reach the board by 20 August 2026 and are completed within 15 calendar days (JCQ).
The standard clerical re-check and review of marking deadline for both GCSE and A-level is 24 September 2026 (re-check completed within 10 calendar days, review within 20 calendar days).
